Ladies and Gentlemen, Your 2005 Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim
(to the tune of "She's An Angel" by They Might Be Giants)
(new lyrics by Deanna "Anaheim Angels in the Outfield" Rubin)

I met someone at the ball game
She was holding my score card
But everywhere she wrote the team name I just grumbled and crossed it out
We both said, "How 'bout them Dodgers?"
And got into our cars
We raced up and down the I-5 twenty Dodger Stadium miles

Why should they name them after anywhere else?
How should we react? These things happen to other ball clubs
They don't happen at all, infact

When you're following the Angels
Does it mean you have to choose the city of your building?
Somewhere they're sitting in the outfield
Calling them the Angels, calling them the dumbest things
I heard they had a space for names
And just "Anaheim" left room to spare
Sometimes I think it kind of irks me and
Other times I think I don't really care

Gonna pay for my admission
Gonna sit in the upper deck
The knuckleball is sent across the batter's box
And it's smacked for a long long drive
I came to watch the Angels
What town I'm in, I don't know
We could be sitting in LA
Or in Anaheim when we go

Why, why did they name them after anywhere else?
How should we react? These things happen for no good reason
But I think their front office cracked

When you're following the Angels
Does it mean you have to choose the city of your building?
Somewhere they're sitting in the outfield
Calling them the Angels, calling them the dumbest things
I heard they had a space for names
And just "Anaheim" left room to spare
Sometimes I think it kind of irks me and
Other times I think I don't really care
